22 year old Yu Darvish

Yu Darvish is 22 years old and is pitching in the Japan leagues. Darvish is 43-18 life time in Japan. The estimated Fine to Talk to him will be to a range of 40mm to 50mm. Who will pay this kind of money? The Yankees looking for another chance after the 40mm bust of Igawa also The Red Sox are in the mix because of their signing of Dice-K Matsuzaka.
It will be a toss up of Big money teams.

This is some very interesting stuff. No doubt the big money East teams will be in the mix, but if he is that solid (and young too) the Yanks should really take a good look. Their woeful pitching problems are their achilles heel.

In a few years when he gets posted, I am almost certain the Yanks will get Darvish... they'll have the incentive to try and "one-up" the Red Sox and Dice-K.

This off-season, the Yanks should try to get Sabathia and maybe Burnett.

Of course, the top priority should be Teixeira, then Sabathia.

I don't think the Yankees should go after Darvish. Yes pitching is a major problem, but Darvish has never pitched in the MLB. It would take to much money to sign him, let alone talk to him. They could get a proven LEFT HANDER for less money in CC, and have enough money left over for Of or 1B

Like I said... not this off-season. Wait a few years when he gets posted... then make a run for him

Get Sabathia this off-season, and like you said, they'd have money left over to get a 1B like Teixeria. Easy
